Accruals are built on incomplete information
Payroll registers. Service periods buried in PDFs. Estimates sitting with business owners. Preparing an accrual means bringing that information together, deciding what belongs in the period, calculating the estimate, and building the support before an entry can be booked.
In this 30-minute live demo, see how Max takes on that preparation while keeping your team in control of the judgment.
What you’ll see
1. Build the accrual population across systems: Watch Max pull payroll registers, HR data, procurement data and other source information, then apply your accounting criteria to determine what belongs in the period.
2. Find and interpret the missing context: Accruals depend on information that doesn’t always live in a report. See Max read service periods and terms, identify missing information, and collect context from business owners through Slack or Teams.
3. Calculate the estimate using your accounting logic: See Max apply the appropriate methodology across different accruals, from trailing averages and percentage of completion to payroll proration and PTO calculations.
4. Automate the routine. Escalate the exceptions: Max prepares the repeatable, well-supported portion of the population and routes unusual, incomplete, or higher-risk items to your team. Agents handle the repeatable work. Accountants apply judgment where it matters.
5. Prepare, review, post, and reverse: Max prepares the journal entry with the accounts, entities, departments, calculations, and supporting evidence attached. Your team reviews the estimate and exceptions before approval. Once approved, Max posts to NetSuite through your existing approval workflow and prepares the reversal for the following period.
Source data → Population → Estimate → Entry → Review → Reversal
See it across your accrual workflows
Vendor & AP accruals: Service periods, unbilled activity, and missing support.
Payroll accruals: Payroll registers, partial-period calculations, multiple entities, countries, and providers.
PTO & bonus accruals: Employee balances, compensation data, company policies, and liability calculations.
