DINNER IN SAN FRANCISCO
The Close After the Checklist
The checklist managed the close. It never automated it. For two decades, close software coordinated the work: task lists, sign-offs, status. The preparation itself never moved. Journal entries, reconciliations, transaction matching, and flux analysis still get built by hand, usually in spreadsheets, then logged in the checklist once they're done. That is changing. We're bringing together accounting and finance leaders for an evening of honest conversation about what happens when agents prepare the work and accountants review it.
A Maxima dinner for accounting and finance leaders.
We'll gather at Octavia, chef Melissa Perello's acclaimed Lower Pacific Heights restaurant, known for seasonal Northern California cooking and house-made pastas. Over cocktails and a seasonal menu, you'll exchange unfiltered perspectives with peers who have already moved preparation off spreadsheets with agentic AI and others evaluating their next move.
