Maxima named a 2026 best place to work

The Maxima Team
We’re proud to share that Maxima has been named one of the 2026 Best Places to Work in the Bay Area by the San Francisco Business Times and the Silicon Valley Business Journal.
For a company founded in August 2024, this recognition means something special. In less than two years, we’ve built a company that the people who work here would recommend to others. That matters more than most milestones because everything Maxima ships depends on the people who build it.
Why this recognition matters
The Best Places to Work award recognizes Bay Area employers that set the standard for workplace culture. Unlike awards judged from the outside, the rankings are based on confidential employee surveys that measure trust in leadership, team dynamics, communication, engagement, and more.
In other words, this isn’t an award a company can market its way into. It reflects the experience of the people who show up every day to build, support, and grow Maxima.
That’s why it means so much to us.
A mission that matters
Maxima’s mission is to maximize financial performance for every company in the world by making financial data accurate, accessible, and actionable.
Accounting is one of the most important functions in any business, yet talented accounting professionals still spend countless hours on manual preparation work that adds little strategic value. We’re building toward a future of real-time accounting, where financials don’t wait until month-end, the close happens continuously, and finance teams can spend more time driving decisions instead of preparing reports.
The people who join Maxima are motivated by that vision. They want to help accountants focus on analysis, judgment, and impact rather than repetitive manual work. That shared sense of purpose is the foundation of our culture.
Building with exceptional people
A mission like this requires exceptional people, and we’ve been intentional about that from the beginning.
“When we started Maxima, we knew we wanted to attract some of the best talent in the Bay Area, and we believe we’ve done exactly that,” said Yogi Goel, Co-founder and CEO of Maxima. “When you build a culture around a mission that genuinely matters and lead with transparency, ownership, and empathy, people do the best work of their careers.”
That culture shows up in how we operate every day.
We stay close to our customers and the challenges they face. We move quickly without lowering the bar. We take ownership of outcomes, not just tasks. We give direct feedback with respect and care. And we challenge ourselves to rethink how things should work instead of accepting how they’ve always been done.
Most importantly, we believe great teams are built by people who make one another better. The best ideas can come from anywhere, and progress happens when talented people collaborate around a shared goal.
Join us
We’re hiring across the company. If you want to work on a problem that matters alongside people who care deeply about their craft, take ownership, and push each other to do great work, we’d love to meet you.
